Rohr's 'edge of the inside' reminds me of order emerging 'on the edge of chaos' and how the most interesting and complex things develop on this boundary, reconciling the known and unknown.
I've read the magician/shaman as likewise characterized as an outsider-insider hybrid, but I see how the prophet is distinct as they become models to emulate and overtake the priestly religions that otherwise assimilate the magician, their power surviving their lifetime.
I too am curious what kind of new religious archetype may be emerging, accepting Jung's premise that we remain in a period of a changing of the gods. It reminds me of Chris Gabriel's idea of the Big Meme, a meme that will go viral and transform worldviews through virtual transmission. Perhaps the next religious archetype will be divorced from personhood in this way -- it speaks to my anti-authoritarian preferences, at least. And feels pretty Aquarian Age P:
