I advocate for the archnemesis of the establishment...peace...making it very hard to find a place to fit other than on the outside. I will now think of it as Edge of the Inside instead. This was a good article. I feel if the left could believe in the transcendent, that would renew what is crooked and broken, but I couldn't be the prophet that does that just yet.
Alternatively, the right could take Christianity seriously and take very seriously the commandment to love your neighbor as yourself, and that might also do the trick.
